Yes, we always welcome new patients to our practice! We accept most insurance plans. Please see the list of insurances that we accept under the "Office Info-Insurances" Menu Tab. If your child is new to the practice and needs a well visit, it would be helpful if all prior records were sent to our office before the appointment. If scheduling a well child check-up, make sure the last well check-up is outside the required time span required by your insurance company for each visit. 3 years old and older, the visit has to be at least one year since the last check-up. (This limitation does not apply to any other visits beside Well Child Check-ups.) For first check-ups, it is very important that we have your complete vaccine records.
Yes, in fact we strongly encourage parents-to-be to visit our office for a prenatal appointment. This is a great way to get acquainted with our office and our providers. During this visit, we will answer any questions that you have about our practice or your new child. Please call and schedule a Prenatal Visit (at no charge) with one of our providers.
To help protect your child from many serious infectious diseases, we follow the immunization schedule recommended by The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Please discuss your immunization questions and concerns with any of our pediatricians.
We appreciate how important it is for your child to have access to our care.
For sick or acute care visit we will make every effort to provide you with a same day appointment. The office opens at 8:00 AM and it is best to call as soon as you feel your child needs to be seen.
For Well Child Visits or nonurgent concerns, we will schedule your child at a time that is convenient for you.
We are available 24/7 to deal with any urgent situation. Just call the office at 410-795-7300. If you have an urgent situation and the office is closed you will be provided with prompt access to our on-call providers who will assist you.
If you have a serious or life-threatening emergency, immediately call 911. If feasible, then call and let the provider on call know your situation.

We are your child's health care provider 24/7. We are all Board Certified in Pediatrics and have access to your child's medical record. We are best equipped to supervise, coordinate and provide follow-up for your child's care. If your child needs to be actually seen after hours and we are not in the office, we will direct you to the most appropriate facility. Many other after-hours health care providers are not as capable to address the needs of children or your child. Also many urgent situations can be comfortably handled over the phone with any needed in person follow-up scheduled for the next morning. Let us help you make the best decisions for your child's health.
IN THE EVENT OF A LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY, CALL 911.
As all children are different, we advise following several appropriate steps to advance your child's diet based on age and development. Please discuss these steps with our providers at your well care visit.
Every effort is made to arrange your child's well care and follow up visits with the physician of your choice. When your child is ill, he or she may see your preferred provider if available at a time that is acceptable for you. If your preferred provider is not available then you will be able to see one of our other providers.
You will receive a call quickly with any lab results that require urgent attention. Other abnormal lab results will be addressed promptly by the provider that ordered the labs or tests. Normal values are reviewed and addressed by the physician that ordered them. If you are awaiting a lab result and it is past the time expected for you to receive these results, please call the office.
We recommend that your newborn be seen in our office 1-3 days after discharge from the hospital. Our staff understands the importance of this first visit and will make every effort to schedule this visit promptly.
Our routine health maintenance visit schedule follows the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for children.
Immunizations are a series of shots given to children at different ages to help prevent serious, and potentially fatal, childhood diseases. Making sure your child receives immunizations when scheduled is the best way to help protect your child from potentially fatal diseases. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, vaccinations have reduced the number of infections from vaccine-preventable diseases by more than 90%. If you're apprehensive about vaccinations, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
